Research note: Existence and dates rest on family tradition. Earlier maternal chart links Yeshaya to Itska from Volozhin lists; the Itska→Movsha David identity link remains a candidate, not independently proved.

Parents

Document behind the Itska link. The 1858 Volozhin revision list, household 74, lists Itsko, son of Movsha, Dubinsky, with "his sons" Ovsei Elya (17, died 1853) and Shaya (16). The record shows Shaya as a son in Itsko's household. It does not say that this Shaya is Rav Yeshaya, and Yeshaya's birth year here (c.1836) differs from the age given for Shaya. The link from Yeshaya to Itska is therefore an identification, not stated in the record.
