Philadelphia marriage license 285435
The retained evidence consists of partial docket and return images and field crops. The full untouched original opening is not on file here. The crops below must not be read as complete pages.
Filing date and ceremony date
The affidavit docket is stamped filed 18 September 1912. Muse's independent transcription reads the return as a ceremony on the sixteenth day of June, with the year unclear. This is not a settled ceremony date: filing and ceremony readings remain in tension.
Birth fields
Muse's transcription reads Barney's license birth as 24(?) July 1890 and Sile's as 25(?) June 1890. The day digits are uncertain. The bride's crop admits a different reading; her day remains unresolved. Barney's license day differs from 4 July in his naturalization papers. No birth day is settled from these unclear fields.
The parent/guardian consent fields were read as blank in Muse's full-image transcription. No father's name is established from this license.
